Zach Borton

Freestyle BMX Rider

Before he ever joined the Huffy BMX Freestyle Team, Zach Borton was already an essential part of the brand. For nearly 15 years, Zach served as Huffy’s lead paint shop technician, where his expert eye for color, detail, and finish helped bring countless bikes to life. His artistic touch has made Huffy bikes instantly recognizable, and his work continues to shape how the brand looks and feels both on the shelf and in the streets.

More about Zach

The Athlete

Zach isn’t just behind the scenes, he’s out there riding, too. Based in Dayton, Ohio, Zach is a well-known face in the local freestyle scene. His riding is smooth, dialed, and effortless, turning heads at parks and street spots across the region. He’s the kind of rider who makes BMX look easy, and his laid-back style and flow have made him a favorite among riders who appreciate precision and style over flash.
Zach’s love for BMX runs deep. To him, it’s not just a hobby, but a lifelong passion. Whether he’s perfecting a new line at a local park or helping design the perfect colorway on a new bike, Zach brings thoughtfulness and creativity to everything he touches. That passion has been instrumental in helping shape Huffy’s modern BMX identity, blending performance with personality.

The Person

At home, Zach is a proud husband and dad, and his daughter is already following in his tire tracks and growing into a little shredder herself. The same love and patience he puts into painting bikes and landing tricks shows up in how he shares BMX with his family, making it a true lifestyle that spans generations.
Zach Borton is the definition of BMX through and through—an artist, a rider, and a mentor. We’re proud to have him not only as a rider but as a longtime member of the Huffy family.
